Jack Lucas Gas leak Almond Grove
Jack Lucas has been on the Monte Sereno City Council for 18 years, and now the mayor says he is ready for a new kind of political career.  More Part of downtown Los Gatos was evacuated for more than two hours last week after construction crews hit a gas pipe, causing a leak near businesses and residences.  More Residents of the quaint Almond Grove District off downtown Los Gatos enjoy a special way of life, with close community ties and old-fashioned holiday celebrations.  More

Monte Sereno council Betty McClendon Buca Catering
With the deadline to file papers to run for city council now past, five candidates are officially in the race to become a Monte Sereno council member.  More Betty McClendon, who spent more than a half-century making sure Los Gatos youth learned the social graces of dance and deportment, died July 21.  More Keeping with the party's "Moulin Rouge" theme, Buca Fine Catering will show off its expertise in French cuisine at the 10th annual fundraiser for the Los Gatos Community Foundation Sept. 14th.  More
